TETTMANN.DOUST

TETTMANN.DOUST are the epitome of Australian fashion, with a unique take on scientific discovery throughout their collections. Australian fashion designers Naomi Tettmann and Elke Doust are a duo who are leaving their mark on the Australian fashion scene.

In 2012, the two launched their collection Aves Insecta at L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program and were awarded the Stonnington Emerging Designer Award, the Melbourne Design Awards 'Fashion Label' prize and selection for the 'Parallel Tensions' Exhibition during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2012.

Their range of designs offer a mix of kaleidoscopic prints, luxurious natural fabrics, vibrant and wild colours, and diagram-based pieces. Their most recent Corpus Epherma Spring/Summer 2012/2013 collection offers so many unique pieces that really make a wardrobe come alive. Probably more suited to a younger customer, one or two of their pieces will really bring your wardrobe alive. They are so vibrant and can always be brought down with some basics like a blazer or nice white/black skirt or pants. Or bring them alive with some stunning, bright pumps and extravagant jewellery.

I love the colours on this dress. Admittedly it's a bit short but I am sure the model just had stunning long legs. I think that the jacket and heels really gives the dress a bit of a hardened style - and I love it!

There is something so sexy and yet classy about this piece. The beautiful silk and shape really brings out the model's figure and almost creates an elegance, like a ballet dance, through the style. 

I really like the makeup that the designers decided to use in this piece. Very original and natural.

MY PICK:

Perhaps a very out there selection, my pick from TETTMAN.DOUST is no doubt these pants. I think they are absolutely fabulous. The design reminds me of Batman, whether that gave them a particular advantage in my decision for the pick, I am not sure. They are great because they give the model shape around the hips but at the same time compliment her long, thin legs. The material really adds to the beauty and luxuriousness of the piece, and I have fallen in love.
